Design News, MOD turned to the movie character E.T. Instantly
recognized, E.T. delivered a powerful visual that stood out from
the many component and machinery ads. MOD had recently molded
E.T. as a single piece toy (quite an engineering feat!) and design
engineers quickly understood the scope of the company's capabilities.
The headline and copy played on the frustration many engineers feel when they are compelled to alter designs to suit existing manufacturing processes or to secure internal approval.
