What You Do With a Rugged Container
Delivering high frequency on a finite budget demands fractional, colorless advertising. Effectively reaching the broad range of material handling professionals in the trade tabloid Material Handling Product News demands creative that breaks through the bustling jumble of ads and product information.
This
ad developed for plastic container manufacturer Meese Orbitron Dunne Co.
was designed to position the company's products as rugged, versatile and
able to withstand the rigors of industrial usage. The clever design packed
important but separate copy elements into a compact area resulting in
a look never before seen in the industrial magazine. Eschewing traditional
ad copy, the text featured a rhythmic, rap music style that compelled
readers to mentally recite many of the products' benefits. In addition,
the copy added value to the commodity perception of the product line by
drawing from the credibility of its Fortune 500 client list. To maximize
potential response, the ad presented a diverse selection of products,
ensuring appeal to the wide range of readers.
