Precision AirConvey Corp.
Precision AirConvey Corp., Newark, DE, manufactures trim handling and removal systems for the converting, nonwovens, plastics, paper and other industries. PAC systems enable plant managers to automate the waste management process at the back end and cut costs for labor and disposal while increasing overall productivity. Although PAC had earned a reputation among converters and label manufacturers for high quality and creative problem solving skills that permitted premium pricing, the company was less well known in its other target markets. In addition, the specific needs of each market differed significantly.
epr recommended a marketing communications strategy that addressed the specific needs of each market, permitting different sales messages to be delivered to each market via market-specific materials. PAC, which had prospered based on its superior engineering skills, lacked marketing materials that effectively conveyed the experience and expertise that earned praise from Procter & Gamble, Cryovac, Kimberly-Clark and its other customers.
To
help PAC command premium pricing and instill confidence among converting
industry prospects, epr developed a full color, four-page brochure focusing
on the converting industry. Showcasing several installations and a dramatic
illustration depicting how PAC machinery aids converters, the brochure
featured a polished, professional appearance that appealed to the corporate
and plant managers yet also detailed the benefits and tangible results
of investing in a PAC system - sizzle and substance in one attractive
package.
The brochure touted some well-known customers to borrow their credibility. To highlight the company's guarantee and add a personal dimension, the back panel included a statement from CEO Tom Embley along with his signature documenting his commitment to excellence. Similarly, to support the company's speedy, around-the-clock parts and service availability, the back panel included pictures of the PAC machining, fabricating and warehousing centers.
The design drew on PAC corporate colors and on the flowing nature of the logo to create an action-oriented feeling that leads the eye from one section to another in a pre-determined pathway. Printed on a coated cover stock, the brochure's heavy weight feels substantial in the hand, lending a feeling of strength and confidence in PAC.
Required in time for the CMM International converting trade show in McCormick Place, Chicago, the brochure was conceptualized, written, designed, proofread and printed in only 17 days. "They look phenomenal!!!" said Mr. Embley.
